More about us...
Readiness
Readiness class is where our youngest learners begin their journey. Students must be at least 5 years old to be in this class. Our Readiness class focuses on all the things your child will need to be successful in the school environment, such as navigation around the facility, following routines, self- help skills and beginning academics. Self-help skills include independence in toileting, eating, picking up after themselves and other skills based on individual need. Teachers work with students to develop self-control in sitting for short periods of time and following simple instructions. Academics in this class range from Pre-K to the end of kindergarten. We strive to meet each child where they are and give them the tools they need to take them to their next level .
Elementary
Our HTCS teachers strive to meet each child where they are at educationally, as well as socially and spiritually. The small class sizes are a benefit for learning with attention given to each student and their specific area of need.
Lower elementary classes build the foundational academic knowledge in reading and math, as well as other subjects. This involves developing and improving listening skills, learning to stay on task, and working together with peers. There is a balanced mixture of whole group instruction and one-on-one as teachers ensure the student has mastered a particular concept before moving on to new concepts. Hands-on learning is a key component in every classroom. Upper elementary classes build on that foundation to help our students reach their fullest potential and next level of learning.
Emphasis is also placed on social skills. Using group interaction times and social roleplaying, students are taught to value the strengths and differences of others as they learn to work together. Through Bible class, chapel times, and informal teaching situations, God’s Word will be used as the standard by which all things are done—“decently and in order.” (I Cor. 14:40)
Upper Development
Hidden Treasure’s Upper Development program is a Christ-centered comprehensive course that encompasses Bible, functional academics, life skills, hospitality, and agricultural skills. The program is designed to promote independence among our students. The functional academics component is tailored to meet the students' individual skill levels and covers mathematics, reading, language arts, history, and science. These subjects are integrated with life skills such as reading schedules, written communication, civic participation, and understanding their environment. In addition, our hospitality program equips students with basic skills essential for employment in the hospitality industry. Lastly, the agricultural program teaches students about farm-to-table eating, healthy eating habits, cultivating fruits and vegetables, and raising animals for food.
Faith Christian Academy Junior and Senior High
Faith Christian Academy is a unique aspect of Hidden Treasure Christian School, a biblically based program that gives opportunity for not only academic growth, but also spiritual growth through the integration of Bible throughout the academic day. Small class sizes give opportunities for individualized instruction in developing social skills, organizational skills, and personal responsibility. The FCA program allows the students to reach their potential through acquiring a vocational, general, or college-prep diploma. The various diplomas allow the students to work within their individual academic skill levels. The goal is to prepare the FCA students for the transition from school to work or college.

Summer Camp
Hidden Treasure Summer Camp provides a week of fun and activity for students with special needs from our school and the community. We call it Fun Camp as we try to fill the week with as much fun as we can for all the campers. During the week, the campers will play gym games, board games, participate in cooperative and competitive activities, hear a missionary story, listen to guest speakers, interact with animals, watch science and nature in action, build and create fun craft keepsakes, splash and slide in the water, enjoy snacks and ice cream, receive awards and prizes, and most importantly learn about our great Creator God. Our two weeks of camp are maxed out at 25 campers with 4-7 camp leaders. Plan for your child to spend a week or two at camp providing great opportunities to learn and grow, as well as enjoy their friends and make memories that will last forever!
